I am currently living with my sister in Nottingham UK while i am waiting for my asylum case. I have been in the UK since 2009. I ran away for my life after being targeted by ZANU PF for my political views. I am not working and its better to be unemployed and free than being unemployed and in danger. I hope i will be granted asylum and live my life knowing that my life will never be in danger again
I am claiming asylum in the UK. I left Zimbabwe because of the lack of freedom to express myself and who i am. I found freedom in the UK, I was once interviewed by a CIO officer in London together with other Zimbabweans and now i fear for my life even more than i did when i was in Zim, i fear that if my case is refused i might be sent back straight into the hands of the ZANU PF authorities
Mkundi arrived in the UK in 2002. He was involved in the MDC from its inception in 1999, when it was set up to oppose Mugabe. He said he left Zimbabwe because he began to feel his political activism was putting his family in danger. He planned to study in the UK and then return once things felt safer.
